The objectives of Toys for Tots is to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.
Toys 4 Tots will have a booth during the festival. Be sure to stop by and find out more ways you can help these children experience the joy of Christmas.

Children and the Earth & Sunshine Hero’s
Children and the Earth, Inc.
Children and the Earth, Inc. was organized and incorporated in early 1999, at the request of The Rockwood Charitable Support Foundation. Annual founding in part comes from The Rockwood Charitable Support Foundation and The Ross Charitable Support foundation. Children and the Earth, Inc. is a 501©(3) tax exempt, nonprofit organization. The founder and creator of Children and the Earth, Inc. is Lana R. Hall. Lana has always been a charitable person and when she retired in 1997 she decided to follow her dream of helping underprivileged children. She created Children and the Earth to help disadvantaged children within her community and beyond. Lana has two children of her own, which are involved in the charity. Her daughter Amber Brosig is the managing trustee and manages the charity year round.
Our mission is to assist children faced with life threatening, sometimes terminal illness. Anything from cancer, special needs, to rare disease.
Children and The Earth has come together to create special opportunities for these children and their families to make memories to last a lifetime. We also assist in easing the burden of medical expense while these children are faced with hard battles. We’ve done it all from checking every item off terminally ill children’s bucket lists to remodeling a home to make it more wheel chair accessible. There is nothing we won’t try to come together to accomplish for these children and their families.
Children and The Earth is our heart and soul and we give it our best to be there every step of the way and give back to our community in any way we can. We believe nobody should fight alone and never give up!
Sunshine Hero’s Foundation
Began in 2007 when Travis & LaRee Hansen moved to Moscow, Russia. Travis had just signed with Dynamo Moscow to play professional basketball. After two unsuccessful fertility treatments and miscarriage, LaRee began researching adoption in Russia. While researching she came across heart-wrenching statistics of Russian orphans. At that moment, she felt deeply touched and inspired to help children in Russia and children around the world. Through friends in Moscow, Travis & LaRee found a baby hospital in Lyubertsy, Russia and began efforts to improve the living conditions. They started by remodeling a portion of the hospital, providing life-saving operations for the children and creating a group of volunteers to hold, feed and play with the babies and children. Their compassion and drive to improve the lives of children along with the founding sponsor, Nature’s Sunshine’s, spirit of long-term social responsibility led to the creation of the Little Hero’s Foundation. In November of 2013 the name was changed to Sunshine Hero’s Foundation to reflect the longtime relationship and support from Nature’s Sunshine Products.
Children and the Earth and Sunshine Hero’s Foundation will have a booth during the festival. Be sure to stop by and find out more ways you can help both of these great organizations.
